Rising Joy Bakery is a Monroe, Michigan home bakery dedicated to creating delicious treats made with fresh, high-quality Organic ingredients. We operate under Michigan's Cottage Law, so our fresh bread and baked goods cannot be shipped.

We offer Saturday & Sunday Pickup from our Monroe location. We bake everything in small batches to ensure peak freshness, our selection is limited and sells out quickly. We're so excited to finally meet our new neighbors!

       I received a gift basket for Christmas that included a kitchen towel, an absolutely beautiful loaf of artisan sourdough bread, olive oil and herb/spice packet and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and let me tell you... WOW!  My husband and I ate ALL of the cookies in one sitting and were fighting for the last one.  We have never had a cookie like these.  They are so soft and delicious.  ….and once we got into the bread, olive oil and spice mix we couldn’t stop eating that either!  I ate it for dinner one night it was so good!  We will definitely be repeat customers.  These products are not only delicious, but beautiful.  Great gift for others or to indulge in yourself!

     Excellent jalapeño cheddar bread and oatmeal raisin cookies, very tasty!
The olive oil and spices were excellent too!

     We recently tried the artisan sourdough bread,  the sourdough sandwich bread,  plain sourdough bagels,  and everything bagels.  They are all delicious! My son and I are gluten- intolerant and these breads work great for us.  Highly recommend!

     We sliced the Sourdough Sandwich Bread to make Smoked Pulled Pork sandwiches for my nieces 1 Year Birthday Party, and the guests loved it. The bread actually disappeared faster than the meat.

     I swear one bite into the oatmeal raisin sourdough cookie took me back to the 1980's at my grandmother's house. Sitting on the stool next to the oven waiting for the next batch of cookies to come out. Thank you for the flashback

     I would like to call myself a true bread concierge..  or maybe just a carb junkie!🫣 (same difference right)
I was lucky enough to come across Rising Joy from a friend posting pictures... We ordered the jalapeño cheese sourdough and the sandwich bread... Let me tell you they were both nothing shy of delicious 😋
The kids loved the sandwich bread they ate slice after slice .. Us adults ate the jalapeño bread in what I am sure was record timing.. I  love a good "butt" of the bread and this one offered so much crunch.. if I could give a 10 out of 5 I would!
Don't sleep on placing a order, you will not be disappointed!

     Updated review: We had a gift basket for Mother's day that was beautifully crafted with Sourdough, oatmeal cookies, jam, kitchen towel and card arranged in a gift basket. The Sourdough was delicious! A firm, but not  overly crusty outside, with a soft and delicate inside. The tanginess was exactly what we were looking for in a loaf of sourdough. Oatmeal cookies were tasty and the vendor Bethany chose for the jam was a great compliment.

Next time Rising Joy puts out baskets for holidays definitely consider them for gifts to get something thoughtful and yummy too!

Previous Review:
Ordered the combination Everything/Plain bagels. The bagels have a hearty chew since they are made from Sourdough. We enjoyed having them warm and fresh at our pickup time. Tried them without cream cheese and toppings, as well as with cream cheese, lox and capers.

In our personal opinion we'd like the bagels just a tad softer, but not sure if possible with Sourdough. We'd order the bagels again, but just our preference. Also, we'd love it a bit more tangy/sour, but we also love vinegar on our fries so take that for what it's worth haha.

All in all, support local and try Rising Joy, looking forward to trying the sourdough loaves and updating our review!

     Amazing bread!
Bagels are chewy and tender just like a bagel should be, with amazing flavor. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
